Lonnie Casto

Lonnie Casto started his round on 18 with a par then hole number 1, so after the turn he was 1 under par. He completed the front with an even par 36. He finished the day with a round of 76 and a net score of 66.

This wasn't the lowest net score recorded, however, as Jack Conlon shot a net 64. There were 4 scores of 66 net by Lonnie, Denny Cosner, Steve Tice, and Ted Townsend.

We had great conditions for 56 golfers with temperatures in the mid 70s.

There will be no league activity July 4th. We will resume league play July 11th. Our cookout that day will be an all American meal of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Corn on the cobb, apple pie, and ice cream.

The play that day will be the red, white, and blue scramble.

Rain Out

I thought we could dodge the rain clouds and get todays round in but when I saw Mike Cullen building an ark I knew we were in trouble. Today's round was washed out. If you paid green fees this week, there will be a 9 hole rain check for you. Just ask John. The five dollars you paid for today's game will be carried over to next week.

Just a reminder, the Presidents Cup will start next week. There is an extra signup sheet  just for this contest on the board in the clubhouse. If you are not familiar with the Presidents Cup it is a match play tournament that fits in with our regular events.

See you next week.

Results For 6/6/2017

Golfers enjoyed a perfect day on the course. The four man 2 best ball format seemed to be very appealing for Roger Goddard. Roger was the "A" player for the fourth place team of himself, Ron Cullen, Mike Hayden, and Larry Byers. Then he was a blind draw replacement for Willis Hughes and with his scores, that team comprised of Fred Cross, Bill Gaven, and Earl Havens finished in first place with a 26 under par round of 114.

We also welcomed 2 new members in Steve Tice and Ted Townsend.

2016 low gross Butch Powell and low net winner Joe Cross presented championship trophies to 2017 low gross winner Mike Poling and 2017 low net winner Bob Leach.

Next Week's event will be a four man net team format. Be sure to sign up.
