Opening Day April 5th 2016
It was a great day if you were a polar bear. Still we had 24 brave souls that endured the cold and completed the round.
Scores were high because of the cold and the condition of the newly aerated greens.
There were 9 places paid as follows:
1 Mike Cullen Net 71 $12
2 Joe Cross Net 71 $11
3 Ralph Olander Net 71 $10
4 Mike Flanigan Net 73 $9
5 Harry Callander Net 73 $8
6 Jim Taylor Net 74 $7
7 Randy Walters Net 74 $6
8 Ralph Bickle Net 75 $5
9 Phil Sigler Net 76 $4
There were 23 skins paying $2 each Harry Callander led the way with 6 skins, but his handicap went from 19 down to 13 today.
Closest pins were 18 but no one landed a shot on the green. Jim Taylor was closest on 2, and Ralph Olander was closest on 7. Longest putt on 13 went to Roger Goddard.
I took a picture of the group today, but I have to figure out how get it out of my phone and loaded on this web site.
Figured a way. Might not have been the right way but it was one way.
