The Shot of The Day!

Alan Hall was the big winner on Tuesday April 11th. Alan not only finished 4th in his group, but he had 2 skins topped off by a hole in one on 18. His hole in one earned him $300 and was witnessed by Ron Miracle, Gary Hamilton, and Jim Hackathorn (See the pictures below).

We had 54 golfers out yesterday.

Winner of the A group was Pat Stoneking with a 78 and an 8 handicap for a net 70.

Winner of the B group Jerry Mason with a net 67.

Winner of the C group was Barney Poole with a net 66.

Congratulations to all of the winners.

Take heed golfers, Joe Crislip had a gross 72 but has not completed his 5 handicap rounds so he has been ineligible for cash prizes.

All of the results are posted below.

Sorry that I have to bring this up, but it needs to be sai
As a group many are now signing up and then not showing up and not calling to say they are not coming. On the other hand several are coming in without signing up. To top it off many are coming in to play just minutes before we tee off. The purpose of the signup sheet is to make up foursomes to facilitate efficient play and get everyone through their round with minimal delay. When people don't show up, we can't fit others that haven't signed up into vacancies. All of this came to a head yesterday when we had a large number of no shows and a lot of people that came late wanting to play. As a result it was chaotic just to get people into groups and then there were large waiting times and players that were upset with the delays.

If you have signed up, please show up. If there is an emergency I can understand that but at least call and say your not coming. If you are playing it should not be a last minute decision. The signup sheet is posted a week ahead of time. You can signup by calling the club, calling me at (304) 850-4369 or e-mailing me at jcmcelhinny@gmail.com.

Please at least arrive ready to play by 8:45.

Repeat offenders as no shows will lose the privilege of being included in playing groups and tee assignments.

Sorry that this needed to be said, but we have lost for
our fellow golfers
